Home Visit Requests

 

Home visits are reserved for the genuinely house bound or for situations where the Doctor feels that assessment at home is required. These visits are at the Doctors’ discretion. If you feel that a home visit is required, please phone 01286 870634 before 11.00am.  Our reception team will ask for a description of your symptoms.

Your request for a visit will be passed to one of the doctors who will assess the need for a visit. The doctor will determine if there is a clinical need for a home visit and may call you to discuss your symptoms in more detail before attending

You may require a home visit if you are:

  • Housebound
  • Terminally ill
  • Elderly/Frail

Lack of transportation is not a reasonable indication for a home visit. One of clinicians may be able to manage your symptoms over the telephone or by arranging an appointment (providing you are not experiencing a medical emergency)

Life threatening emergencies are best treated by a hospital, and you may be advised to call 999
